Hi!
It’s great to have you here. My name is Emmily. I am a fulltime photographer since 2012 and I truly love what I do. And that has only one reason. It is because of you. The person behind the photo. Thank you so much!
After finishing a master of science in forensic criminology (a combination of psychology and law) and working for two years in the United States in finance for the Dutch government, I knew one thing for sure. This isn’t it. Now… Seven years, over a 140 weddings and 250 photoshoots later, I still truly love what I do. I count my blessings for finding a way of living that suits me so perfectly!
People are fascinating. People are diverse. Every couple, every person, every dynamic is a new adventure. And I love to be on that adventure, no matter how big or small. When I document your story, I want the photos to look how you felt to me. Your authentic self. Your real being. For me there is nothing better. Because there is so much beauty in thát! This is why I love weddings and family shoots so much. To document your story through the little moments. Your love. Your insecurity. Your excitement. Your victories. Your friendships. Your fierceness. Your tears. Your happiness. That what makes what we are as people. That what unites us. To frame the real you, looking at your most beautiful.
My passions
in life…
. . . are about Amsterdam, honesty, chocolate, a walk on the beach, Sunday’s family brunch, latte macchiato in a coffee shop, following my heart, hats, my second ‘home’ (a caravan in my hometown, Loosdrecht), taking a hot bath, eating ice cream, preferably in Italy, Harry Potter, my best friend Elaine who I’ve known since we’re 12 years old, dancing, laughing really loud, yoga, traveling, all of my my friends and last but not least, Suvi, my little stubborn dachshund.
